January Newsletter

Welcome to the January Edition of Epping Area MG Owners Club Newsletter

Our first run of the year on January 12th from Blackmore Village Hall to the
Purfleet Heritage Centre went very well. This is an interesting building
built in 1759 and was used to store gunpowder. The run of approximately 30
miles took the drivers through some interesting Essex countryside. It’s
always a bit nerve-racking hoping the directions are correct, as a precaution
the post code of the destination was included. As it turned out everyone
arrived without problem.

An interesting hour and a half was spent at the museum looking at the
exhibits and drinking plenty of tea. This was followed by an excellent meal
and chat at Sir Henry’s afterwards. The weather was kind if a bit cool and
I think everyone had a good day out.

We’d hoped to run another quiz night on 29th Feb but the club was already
booked for that date, we toyed with moving it to the 22nd but there weren’t
sufficient people that could attend to make it viable.

The weather seems to be picking up let’s hope it’s not a false dawn.

Don’t forget this Wednesday the 5th is club night, hopefully we’ll see lots of you there.
